⚠️ ‘Disrespectful’ Player Contemplates Remaining at Chelsea, While Pochettino Pushes for Departure

Romelu Lukaku is currently considering remaining at Chelsea, but Mauricio Pochettino has other plans.

According to Marco Conterio of Tutto Mercato Web, this is the case.

So, what is the newest news regarding Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku? Let us have a look…

What is the backstory?

This week, the Belgian has generated quite a commotion at Stamford Bridge.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lukaku was prepared to take attorneys with him to speak with Todd Boehly about leaving Chelsea for Inter Milan.

The Italian giants want to do another loan deal, but Conterio believes Chelsea will not contemplate another temporary move.

A Saudi Arabian offer is on the table, but the 30-year-old seems uninterested.

It has even been suggested that Lukaku may ‘beat his firsts on the table’ to force his way out.

Pochettino seemed to be irritated by this.

Conterio reveals how Lukaku is now willing to stay in west London since a return to Inter Milan appears unlikely.

However, according to the Italian writer, Pochettino “has other ideas,” implying that he is not interested in reintegrating the Belgium international.

Al-Ahli have since raised their offer to sign Lukaku, and he is now rumoured to be considering a move to Saudi Arabia.

Lukaku should depart from Chelsea.

Hopefully, an agreement can be reached between Al-Ahli and Lukaku, as the striker has to leave Chelsea after having burned his bridges.

Ally McCoist stated on talkSPORT that Pochettino should release the Antwerp-born forward to ensure a pleasant dressing room climate next season, adding that Lukaku’s heart does not appear to be in it at Chelsea after that famous interview about Inter Milan in 2021.

Graeme Souness even labeled the Belgian “disrespectful” after hearing such astonishing remarks.

Lukaku could be adequate under Pochettino next season, but with youthful prospects like as Armando Broja, Christopher Nkunku, and the upcoming Nicolas Jackson in the Argentine attack, the 30-year-old should be moved on.
