£25m Rated Arsenal Player Confirms Departure: Set to Leave the Gunners in 2023 Summer Transfer Window

Newcastle is reportedly eyeing Kieran Tierney, a talented left-back and former Celtic defender from Arsenal, as a potential signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite the ongoing season in the English Premier League showcasing numerous star players, many promising prospects have not been given a chance to prove themselves. The high level of competition within the team is evidenced by the fact that many talented players are currently benched.

Managers face the challenge of selecting the best possible team lineup for each match, as this greatly impacts the team’s performance and results.

Arsenal Football Club has performed exceptionally well as a cohesive unit, as evidenced by their current position atop the EPL points table. They have won 22 matches, drawn 3, and lost 3, accumulating an impressive total of 69 points. With 11 games left to play, Arsenal will be aiming to continue with their winning formula in their quest for a fourth Premier League title.

Newcastle United has expressed keen interest in signing Arsenal’s highly-rated defender, Kieran Tierney, according to The Athletic. Tierney is reportedly at the top of Newcastle’s list of summer transfer targets, with the Magpies believing that he would be the perfect attacking full-back to play under their new manager, Eddie Howe.

Despite being a talented player, Tierney has been playing second fiddle to Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, a Ukrainian international and former Manchester City defender, who has played the most minutes in the EPL this season. As a result, Tierney has struggled for game time in the current season.

It appears that Kieran Tierney is keen to avoid being benched and wants to play regularly. Previously, there were rumors that Arsenal’s management would not prevent Tierney from leaving the club if he wished to do so. It has been reported that the Gunners will demand a fee of £25 million for Tierney should any club attempt to sign him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

“Tierney was left out initially because he was injured, and the player who came in for him has done well. Arsenal manager probably decided to rope in Zinchenko because he wants the Gunners to play the same way as Manchester City, with the full-backs playing on the inside rather than outside,” Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish told The Sunday Post.

“Oleksandr was taught that way at Man City, so he is used to it. Tierney is not. That does not mean to say Kieran has gone backwards as a player. It is just that someone else has been a wee bit better. We have seen what Tierney can do in the minutes he has had for them setting up a goal against Crystal Palace. Now Kieran is with Scotland and it is a great chance for him to put his case forward for Mike,” he added.
