Just one month after being sent off in a game against Crystal Palace, the former Real Madrid player was extremely upset when he received another red card in a match against Southampton, which ended in a 0-0 draw. As he left the field in tears, his teammate from Brazil, Antony, was the first to console him, and fans believed that Casemiro was telling him he would win the game for him. Casemiro will now be suspended for four games, meaning he will have missed eight of United’s last 16 domestic fixtures. According to manager Erik ten Hag, Casemiro’s suspension is the result of inconsistent rules in England. Ten Hag also pointed out that during Casemiro’s nine-year stint at Real Madrid, he never received a straight red card despite playing over 330 games.
