In the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 match, Arsenal drew 2-2 with Sporting CP. William Saliba scored the first goal in the first half, but Goncalio Ignacio equalized for the Portuguese team. Paulinho then scored to give Sporting CP the lead just after the start of the second half. However, a bizarre own goal by Hidemasa Morita brought the scoreline back to 2-2 in Lisbon, making the second leg at Emirates Stadium an open game.

Before the next match, Mikel Arteta’s team will face Marco Silva’s Fulham in the Premier League at Craven Cottage on Sunday. To prepare for the game and maintain their five-point lead at the top of the table, spylax Media has provided the latest updates on Arsenal players’ injuries.

Martin Odegaard,

the Arsenal captain, was absent from the game against Sporting due to illness. A virus has affected several Arsenal players, including midfielder Fabio Vieira, who had a sore throat and was replaced by Gabriel Martinelli for the press conference before Wednesday’s game. However, Vieira still played the entire 90 minutes in Lisbon.

Odegaard traveled with the team to Lisbon, but was eventually deemed unfit to play due to his illness.

What Arteta has said: “In other moments we had total control of the game and we lost a little bit of threat today, especially with the four players we are missing in our frontline (Odegaard, Jesus, Trossard and Nketiah).”

Kieran Tierney, Arsenal’s left-back, was absent from Thursday’s Europa League match against Sporting CP. On Wednesday, the Scottish international left the team’s London Colney training ground about 45 minutes before training started, causing some fans to worry that he was injured. Tierney is simply unwell.

When asked about Tierney’s, Leandro Trossard’s, and Eddie Nketiah’s conditions, Mikel Arteta said he is trying to manage everyone and get them in the best possible shape for the upcoming match. There is currently no information on when Tierney will return.

Leandro Trossard sustained a groin injury during a match against Bournemouth and was substituted for Emile Smith Rowe in the 22nd minute after indicating to the coaching staff that he could no longer continue. Although the injury is not thought to be serious, Trossard missed training on Wednesday and was not included in the squad for the trip to Lisbon.

Mikel Arteta expressed concern about Trossard’s injury and said that the team will assess him to determine the severity of the injury. There is no information on when Trossard is expected to return.

Martin Odegaard was unable to play in the game against Sporting CP due to illness, while Kieran Tierney missed the game as he was unwell, and Leandro Trossard was out of the squad due to a groin injury. Eddie Nketiah did not travel with the team due to a slight injury, and Gabriel Jesus is expected to return to the squad towards the end of March after undergoing surgery for medial ligament damage. Mohamed Elneny will also be out for an extended period due to a knee issue picked up in training.
