With Gabriel Jesus and Reiss Nelson out injured, they lacked the firepower to come off the bench in their 2-0 Premier League win over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and Mikel Arteta will no certainly want more flexibility from now until the end of the season as they seek the crown.
According to Sky Sports Germany, the Emirates Stadium club are interested in signing Diaby after losing out on Mudryk, while Raphinha would prefer to stay at FC Barcelona.
According to journalist Manuel Veth, his fee will be the same, if not higher, than Mudryk’s, who joined Chelsea for an estimated £89 million.

Spylax’s opinions on Diaby’s transfer to Arsenal
After passing on Mudryk, Diaby would be an excellent replacement for Arteta.
Aaron Stokes as a player with “electrifying pace, good with both feet, and fearless on the ball,” more than proved his credentials last season with 13 goals and 12 assists in the Bundesliga, and he already has nine goal contributions this season.
Over the past year, the 23-year-old is in the 89th percentile for non-penalty goals and 83rd for progressive passes received per match of all his positional pairs in Europe’s five leagues (FBRef), and would be a perfect fit at the Emirates.
