Arsenal is just two steps away from releasing a fantastic Kai Havertz transfer announcement film.

Arsenal are close to finalizing the signing of Kai Havertz, with the Germany international scheduled to undergo a medical before completing a £65 million deal from Chelsea.

If everything goes well with his medical, Kai Havertz will be introduced as an Arsenal player soon.

Following the Gunners’ agreement with the Blues in a deal worth £65 million (£60 million plus £5 million in add-ons), football.london reported that the German international’s medical was set to take place overseas this weekend, and he will become Mikel Arteta’s first signing of the summer transfer window, barring any hiccups.

Once the 24-year-old passes those tests and signs his contract to officially complete his move to Arsenal, supporters will naturally be looking forward to seeing the forward holding up the Gunners shirt at his unveiling – which could very well have the number 29 on the back, given that it has been vacant since Matteo Guendouzi’s departure.

However, as explained by @legolees on Twitter, the introduction of Havertz is just as essential – if not more so – than the signing, with the user advocating a unique manner for an announcement video using Jorginho given to the fact that they were colleagues at Chelsea as recently as January.

“The Havertz announcement should be him running from one end of the Emirates with a bow on his head to Jorginho waiting with open arms on the other side,” the tweet stated.

This concept allows Arsenal to re-enact an announcement video from the 2018 January transfer window, when Henrikh Mkhitaryan had a key role in reuniting with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with whom he previously played at Borussia Dortmund.

Having signed Jorginho for £12 million in January, agreed a fee with Chelsea for Havertz, and reportedly sorted personal terms, the Gunners have effectively completed the first three steps towards making the aforementioned video announcement a reality, as all that remains is a successful medical and contract signing.

The arrival of Havertz is not anticipated to be the end of Arsenal’s activity in football this summer.londonunderstands that Declan Rice remains a priority signing despite West Ham United rejecting two offers, while Arteta is still hopeful of adding Jurrien Timber to his defensive options.

In terms of departures, Granit Xhaka is poised to return to Germany in a £13 million move to Bayer Leverkusen, while Pablo Mari’s £5.9 million permanent move to Monza is all but confirmed. Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe, Auston Trusty, and Folarin Balogun are expected to go, as is Thomas Partey, who is being courted by three teams in Saudi Arabia.
