Arsenal Issues Warning to Fans Regarding Tickets Passed on to Banned Bayern Munich Supporters

Arsenal has announced that away fans will not be allowed to enter the Emirates Stadium for the Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

This decision comes after UEFA banned Bayern fans from attending the first leg of the quarter-final due to safety concerns related to incidents at previous away games.

The club has taken precautions to prevent chaos similar to what occurred in 2017 when thousands of Cologne supporters purchased tickets for a Europa League game.

To mitigate the risk of Bayern fans buying tickets in the home end, Arsenal has restricted ticket sales to new members who registered before March 11.

Season-ticket holders can only transfer tickets to recipients whose accounts were created before this date.

Bayern has also urged their fans not to travel to London for the match. The Bundesliga club has been allocated only a limited number of tickets for a delegation of friends and family, with around 20 senior club officials expected to be present in the directors’ box.

In a message to supporters, Arsenal said: “There is additional risk associated with this game, because Bayern Munich are not permitted an away allocation. Any season-ticket holder or Arsenal member’s seat found to be in possession of an away fan will be suspended indefinitely.”

These measures are aimed at maintaining safety and preventing any potential disturbances during the match.
