Arthur Melo Shines in Liverpool Training, Humiliating Ben Doak: Andy Robertson’s Reaction Says It All

Arthur has struggled since joining Liverpool on loan from Juventus during the summer transfer window.

Klopp signed the Brazil international after the Reds’ midfield suffered several injuries.

And, despite making his Liverpool debut from the bench in a Champions League defeat to Napoli in September, Arthur has yet to make a single senior appearance since suffering an injury in training that required surgery.

And, despite making the bench against Bournemouth earlier this month, the 26-year-old has yet to play in the Premier League.

Though Liverpool has the option of making Arthur’s loan permanent for £32 million, the club is expected to focus on other targets in the summer, specifically Jude Bellingham and Mason Mount.

Doak is humiliated by Arthur.

Arthur astounded his Liverpool teammates during a training session ahead of the club’s weekend clash with Manchester City.

With a seemingly ill-advised touch, the Juventus loanee drew Doak to the ball before nutmegging the Liverpool youngster.

While his teammates celebrated, the Scottish star held his head in disbelief. Andrew Robertson, Doak’s compatriot, was seen howling with laughter and clapping excitedly at the Brazilian midfielder’s skill.

While Arthur has barely played for Liverpool, he certainly has pedigree, having previously played regularly for both Barcelona and Juventus, as well as representing Brazil 22 times.

And Arthur’s agent revealed his client’s struggles this term in an interview earlier this month.

“He paid for the season in which he played little at Juventus, he was integrating, and had an annoying injury for which he had to operate,” Federico Pastorello told Tuttomercatoweb.

“After three months of injury, he made his second bench, and I hope he can at least contribute.” I believe he will return from the loan, and then we will decide what to do.”
