Ben Chilwell breaks his silence following confirmation of Chelsea’s injury timeline
Ben Chiwell is anticipated to miss a considerable amount of time after suffering a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s Carabao Cup victory over Brighton.
Ben Chiwell has communicated with Chelsea supporters following his latest injury setback. The England international is expected to miss at least the middle of December due to a hamstring injury.
After scans on Chilwell’s injury took place following the Carabao Cup win against Brighton – it is now expected that the Blues’ vice-captain is set to be absent for some huge fixtures, including games against Arsenal and Manchester City. Last week, Mauricio Pochettino commented on the injury by stating, “I believe it is bad news.”

“The physician advised me that it is not a good sign. It is a serious injury, but we need to assess it in the coming days to determine how long he will be out of the squad and team. However, it does not look good.”

Chilwell posted on his Instagram story, “Can’t catch a break. I am more frustrated than you, believe me.

“All I can do at this point is assist the team from the sidelines until I can return to giving my all for the club on the field. Life is full of ups and downs, but that is to be expected.

“Just focused on restoring this club to its rightful position. As always, thank you for your support, Chels fans.”

The injury to Chilwell is devastating for the Blues, who are experiencing something of an injury crisis. Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku are not anticipated to return for some time, while Benoit Badiashile, Reece James, and Romeo Lavia continue to be sidelined due to injuries.

As he continues to recover from a knee injury, Nkunku has remained active on social media, most recently sending a message to teammate Mykhailo Mudryk after he scored his first competitive goal for the club. Nkunku, who will be unavailable until January, stated, “Well done, guys.” +3 @chelseafc following Monday’s victory over Fulham.
