Casemiro sends a clear message to Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe about Manchester United’s takeover.
Takeover of Manchester United: Following Casemiro’s strike against Bournemouth on Saturday, Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain interested in purchasing the club.
Erik ten Hag needs more time at Manchester United, according to Casemiro, as takeover speculation continues. So far, Sheikh Jassim has made four proposals for the club, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made three bids. Regardless of who is in command at the club, their No. 18 feels Ten Hag must remain in charge.
Casemiro scored the only goal in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, moving the club closer to a place in next season’s Champions League.
And the Brazil international has now praised Ten Hag, urging the team to allow the 53-year-old more time to perform his magic.
“He has surprised me a lot with his ambition,” said the former Real Madrid star.
“We have been talking among us, and we have been saying that he is a little bit heavy because he always likes to win.
“He is asking for more because for him 100 per cent is not enough. We have to give more than 100 per cent.
“He works a lot and is very ambitious. He has the ambition to change the whole club.
“He is a manager who has the respect from all the players and the fans as well.
“But I think we need to give him time because despite the fact we have already won one title and are quite close to the Champions League, we need more time to grow up.
“But we can see he is changing a lot of things within the club. He is always showing ambition to win.”
United are currently in the midst of a takeover saga.
Nonetheless, considering Ten Hag’s work at Old Trafford, both Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim are likely to take Casemiro’s advise.
United won the EFL Cup under the Dutchman in February, and they are currently in the FA Cup final.
And, if they get a point against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday night, they’ll be participating in the Champions League next season.
The Blues had a disastrous season and will not be strutting their stuff on the European stage next season.
However, Casemiro has issued a caution to his teammates, stating that they must not overlook Chelsea despite their current struggles.
“We cannot be relaxed,” the veteran added.
“We know Chelsea is struggling, but they are a massive club that won the Champions League only a few years ago.”
“This is going to be a very difficult game.”
“However, I’m really pleased here. “I’m having a great time in the Premier League.”I haven’t had this much fun in a long time, and everyone at the club has been just great with me since I came.
“I’m trying to give them everything I have on the field and give my all.”
Earlier this season, United drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Casemiro scored a thrilling late equalizer that day, canceling out Jorginho’s earlier penalty.
