Casemiro’s louded emotional argument with Bruno Fernandes, as Man Utd’s celebratory mood reaches new heights.

When Manchester United celebrate, Casemiro receives Roy Keane’s approval for “arguing” with Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United defeated Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, with Casemiro scoring the first goal. During full-time, the Brazilian exchanged angry words with teammate Bruno Fernandes.

Roy Keane said he “liked players arguing” after Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes traded words after Manchester United’s Carabao Cup success.

The Red Devils defeated Newcastle at Wembley to win their first trophy in six years. Erik ten Hag’s side is on the rise, with a trophy to show for their remarkable performances this season. Casemiro has been instrumental in their progress.

The Brazilian, who joined from Real Madrid in the summer, scored the game’s first goal at Wembley, extending his trophy-laden career record. Marcus Rashford made it two before halftime, but Fernandes wasted a late chance to put the game away.

He chose to take a shot rather than square it for one of his teammates, and Loris Karius saved Newcastle from conceding a third. When the players celebrated, Casemiro was spotted having a debrief with Fernandes, which Keane enjoyed as they speculated on the topic of talk.

“Are they arguing there?” Keane said on Sky Sports. “Yep, maybe. I like that. I don’t know what they’re arguing about, but it shows they care.”

Keane, who captained United for a long time during Sir Alex Ferguson’s trophy-laden reign, is known for his fiery personality. The Irishman has previously stated that player disagreements are beneficial because they demonstrate emotion and ambition.

Fernandes had failed to win a title for United since joining in January 2020, despite numerous close calls. He paid gratitude to the fans, but he wants their Carabao Cup victory to serve as a springboard for even greater success.

“It’s always fantastic to be a Red, whether you win or not, it’s always incredible,” he told the club’s website. You can see the support they [fans] give us at terrible times, and now it’s time for them to rejoice as well, because they’ve been there for us through the worst, and they deserve it. They have earned their position with us.

“It’s been amazing [to win the Carabao Cup]. First trophy of the season, but we want more. We want more. This is not enough for this club, we want and we need more, because, for our standing, we need more.” He also added added: “For me, it was about winning trophies. Finally we did it, but I want more. I want much more.”

“First you have to win the first one, and that is what we accomplished,” Ten Hag said. “I think we can get inspiration from this and confidence that we can do it. We said at the outset that we wanted to restore Manchester United by winning trophies, and this is the first one.”
