Chelsea and Manchester United are in negotiations with Denzel Dumfries’ agency about a deal to sign him for £44 million.
Rafaela Pimenta, Denzel Dumfries’ agent, is now in England, where she has met with Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Inter Milan star has been linked with a move to the Premier League on several occasions, and his representation is now in negotiations with interested clubs about a possible move this month.
According to Calciomercato, Pimenta has spoken with officials from Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United, but a deal looks improbable at the time.
According to the report, Inter wants up to £44 million for the Dutch international. Even Premier League teams would find the number exorbitant, therefore the Italians may need to decrease their expectations if a deal is to be reached.
Chelsea is engaged in in talks with Lyon about signing right-back Malo Gusto. The London giants failed with a verbal proposal but remain optimistic about signing him.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has stated that Gusto would not be sold, but in the past, he has made a similar remark only to sell the player within days.

As a result, Graham Potter’s side will be hopeful of securing his services, but Dumfries might be a fall-back option for Chelsea if Lyon continue to oppose Gusto’s move.
Dumfries is one of Europe’s top attacking right-backs. The Dutch star has shone on the big stage for both club and country, contributing crucial goals.
His big physique and offensive playing style would be ideal for Chelsea, who are seeking for a solid back-up to Reece James, who is currently injured.
Manchester United have also been linked with a bid for the 26-year-old defender, but they do not appear to be eager to invest with the owners prepared to sell.
Erik ten Hag’s team, however, cannot be ruled out of the transfer race. They could make a reasonable effort to sign him if they decide to let Aaron Wan-Bissaka go.
That does not appear to be in the cards at the moment, but things in football can change rapidly. Before heading to Dumfries, United may wish to gather some finances.
