Chelsea have reported that five players were not present during their training session on Monday prior to their upcoming match against Dortmund.

On Monday, in preparation for Tuesday’s second leg match against Borussia Dortmund, five players from Chelsea did not participate. However, three of them, namely Reece James, N’Golo Kante, and Christian Pulisic, could return from their injuries.

The team confirmed that James, Kante, and Pulisic participated in full training on Monday morning. Kante and Pulisic have not played in a while due to long-term injuries, and James was unable to participate in the team’s win against Leeds United over the weekend because of a tight hamstring.

It is not certain whether Kante and Pulisic will be fit enough to start the match, but having them available as substitutes could be crucial for Chelsea to overturn their 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

Unfortunately, Chelsea will also be missing some important players. Thiago Silva and Mason Mount were absent from training due to injuries. It is worth noting that Mount is suspended for the second leg regardless.
