Chelsea star sends three-word message to Leandro Trossard after completing Arsenal transfer
News about Leandro Trossard: This transfer window, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham were all interested in signing Brighton’s dynamic forward.
Marc Cucurella has congratulated former teammate Leandro Trossard on his move to Arsenal, who currently sit atop the Premier League table. Trossard, who was a summer and January target for Chelsea, was signed by Arsenal for an initial cost of £21 million.
During his time at Brighton, the 28-year-old was one of Graham Potter’s top performers, and he developed with his former teammates while earning a name for himself in the Premier League. He just lasted one season at Amex Stadium with Cucurella, but the two were two of the best key players for Potter.

They played 31 times together throughout the season and have already moved on for a total fee of £80 million, which might climb further after being bought for less than £30 million.
While Trossard’s form has continued this season, with seven goals and three assists – he had eight goals and three assists in all of last season – Cucurella has slowed and failed to adapt at Stamford Bridge. Lewis Hall, 18, has just supplanted the Spaniard in the starting lineup.
Trossard quickly acclimated to new manager Roberto De Zerbi after replacing Potter in September, but fell out with him after returning from the World Cup. Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal were all interested in signing him before his contract expired signature but Mikel Arteta’s men quickly moved to the front of the queue, securing a deal.
Trossard said on Instagram after being announced as a new Arsenal player: “London is calling! Here we go, excited to join Arsenal!”
Cucurella replied to his dear friend’s letter with his best wishes and enthusiasm, commenting: “Let’s goo amigo” with three fire emojis and a clapping hand emoji.
Arsenal are currently waiting to see if Trossard will be able to play against Manchester United, while Cucurella is fighting to reclaim his position from Hall at SW6 ahead of their trip to Anfield on Saturday.
