A two-word message from Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea includes a hint about the injury timeline.
Chelsea’s injury report suggests that the team may have a significant increase in attacking personnel for the upcoming Carabao Cup round.
As he approaches his Chelsea debut, star Christopher Nkunku has given a significant hint about how he is recovering from an injury. Due to a knee injury sustained during the preseason that kept him out for the majority of the season, the 25-year-old has yet to play for Mauricio Pochettino.

The star was viewed as the primary goal threat for the Blues following his impressive performances during the U.S. tour, following a stellar final season in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig, where he finished as the top goalscorer despite missing two months due to a different knee issue. But when he was ruled out for the first half of the season, with a return before the New Year previously thought unlikely, Pochettino’s team suffered a crushing blow.

The celebrity has been putting in a ton of effort to regain her optimal level of fitness, though. The France international has consistently posted updates on his social media accounts, including pictures and videos of him exercising to strengthen his knees, going to the pool, and getting checked out by different doctors.

It is the first time we have seen him on the field since the injury sustained in the summer. He was recently photographed participating in first team training at the beginning of November. Even though the player is still a long way off from playing again, manager Rafael Pochettino hasn’t hidden his joy at having one of his team’s catalysts back.

“He’s doing incredibly well. He’s putting in a lot of work. I believe that he is very close. I’m hoping we can get him involved again as soon as possible. He is a crucial member of our team.”

The Blues manager has faced numerous challenges since joining the team; in addition to Nkunku, other long-term absentees include Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell, and last month, Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah both experienced setbacks.
After missing a good chunk of the season, captain Reece James returned to the starting lineup for last night’s 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers. Thanks to goals from winger Raheem Sterling and returning defender Benoit Badiashile, the Blues advanced to the quarterfinals, where they will play Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge in mid-December.

The star has already made references to a possible participation in the match against the Magpies, so the Blues will have an additional seven weeks to get Nkunku back to full strength. The celebrity shared a picture of himself and his teammates celebrating Badiashile’s goal in the 2-0 victory on Instagram, resharing it from the Chelsea account.

It had the caption, “Next round @Chelseafc,” along with the emojis for a “clapping” and a “green tick.” This could be interpreted as Nkunku’s indication that he is confident he can play the entire game, which would undoubtedly give Chelsea a major offensive boost considering their goal-scoring woes this season.
