Fabrizio Romano Reveals Disturbing News for Chelsea Fans Following Conversations with Insider Sources
Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that he has been advised that Chelsea will find it tough to renew Mason Mount’s contract.
On his AMP show, he stated that after speaking with sources, he was left with little faith that the Blues could keep their two-time player of the year.
It has been a difficult season for everyone at Stamford Bridge, but no one has endured as much as Mount.
Following a disastrous World Cup campaign with England, he has scarcely played in the second part of this season due to a mix of injuries and bad form.
This may have sparked speculation about whether he has a future with the club where he has spent the most of his life up to this point.
In the past, Romano has indicated that there has always been a huge discrepancy in demands between the two parties, with Mount apparently rejecting a comparable deal inked by fellow academy graduate Reece James earlier this season.
This has given him the option to depart Stamford Bridge, which seemed unimaginable this time last year.
Romano has now claimed that his most recent report indicates that he will not be able to stay in West London.
He said: “Speaking to some sources today, it is going to be very difficult to extend Mason Mount, really complicated.”
With some at Chelsea allegedly anxious to keep Joao Felix for next season, it’s difficult not to read that it could be a case of one or the other at the club, though many supporters will be thinking that they may have chosen the incorrect response.
