Gabriel Jesus, the Arsenal striker, has made good progress in his recuperation from a medial cruciate ligament injury suffered during Brazil’s World Cup campaign.

Gabriel Jesus has provided another optimistic social media update for Arsenal fans regarding his knee injury recovery. The Arsenal striker suffered a medial cruciate ligament injury during Brazil’s World Cup loss to Cameroon in December and has been sidelined since.

Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer, was a key member of Mikel Arteta’s team in the first half of the season, helping the Gunners to the top of the table. In 14 games, the Brazilian assisted on 11 goals.

Eddie Nketiah has filled Arteta’s number nine slot with an excellent series of performances since the Premier League’s comeback. Since Jesus’ injury, the Hale Ender has scored three goals in five appearances across all competitions, earning high praise from Arteta and his teammates.

“He displayed amazing composure,” the Spaniard stated of Nketiah. “He’s a fantastic finisher, as evidenced by the timing of his runs and the decision-making in waiting until the last second when the keeper was committed. His comprehension, his work rate, I believe he is improving.”

On Monday, Jesus resorted to social media to update his followers on his rehabilitation progress. Jesus posted this on Twitter: “I miss you,” she said, accompanied with a love heart, football emoji, and a chuckling emoji. Jesus also shared three photos of himself holding the ball at the club gym at London Colney.

As the 2022/23 season comes to a close, Jesus’ update will provide an encouraging lift for Arsenal fans. After 18 games, the Gunners are eight points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the table.

The club’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday has only fueled the club’s title challenge. Martin Odegaard scored his eighth goal of the season after the Gunners were given the perfect start by Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
