“Here we go!” – Fabrizio Romano announces another trio completed Chelsea transfer.
Al Nassr and Chelsea agree on Hakim Ziyech transfer – report
Hakim Ziyech is on his way to the Saudi Pro League after agreeing personal terms with Al Nassr on a three-year contract earlier this week, and has now signed terms with Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano’s report makes no mention of the transfer fee that our agreement implies. Previous sources predicted that all four of our deals with PIF-backed SPL sides would yield us “upwards of £50m”; Ziyech would likely be one of the larger chunks of that overall pie.

Ziyech will sign until June 2026, if all goes to plan.
Agreement reached also with Chelsea, waiting to prepare, check then sign contracts.

Ziyech was on the verge of leaving Chelsea for PSG in January, so this move — provided it doesn’t go the same way — is possibly the least surprise of all of our projected transactions this summer. After three years as the “Wizard of AMS” in a Chelsea shirt, the 30-year-old leaves with 107 games, 14 goals, one Champions League trophy, and many of unfulfilled expectations.
Al Ahli, Chelsea reach agreement for Édouard Mendy transfer — report
Édouard Mendy has decided to join fellow Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli. As with Ziyech’s departure, there is no particular amount tied to the agreement, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, but Mendy will also sign a three-year contract.

So two down, two to go (Kalidou Koulibaly and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang), not to mention N’Golo Kanté’s free transfer, with maybe more to come (Callum Hudson-Odoi?). Better get them in before UEFA becomes all self-important and invents a cause to block these moves.
Mendy, as unheralded as he was at the time of his arrival — what a journey! — was the undisputed first-choice between the sticks at Chelsea for two seasons, and he was a big reason why we were able to reach so many cup finals and even win a few of them, including the 2021 Champions League. For that, he will always be a club hero, immortalized in our history.
