I Regret’: Frank Lampard Now Makes Admission About Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

Frank Lampard has acknowledged that he’regrets’ the language he used during his altercation with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp when he was Chelsea manager.

Frank Lampard and Jurgen Klopp engaged in an expletive-filled altercation at Anfield in 2020, behind closed doors.

It all stemmed from an apparent foul during the game, with the then-Chelsea manager telling his Liverpool counterpart that he was giving it the ‘big-un’ after having won only one Premier League championship.

The former England international was asked about the incident while working for Sky Sports on Monday Night Football, and he admitted that he shouldn’t have used the language he did towards Liverpool’s £300,000-per-week player (PlanetFootball).

Given that there was no crowd inside Anfield, the touchline microphones were able to pick up what was said between the two, which improved the situation.

Last night, Jamie Carragher mentioned that Liverpool won the game, which the Reds did.

Carragher stated, “I find it intriguing when you discuss the rivalry between Chelsea and Liverpool.” “You actually did take it when you were Chelsea’s manager, didn’t you?!”

Lampard responded with a hearty chuckle, “Yes, I did. And Jurgen? It will probably never leave me, I guess.

Regarding whether he regrets it, he responded, “I regret the language slightly because my daughter was 13 at the time.” The following day, she advised me not to be proud of it. I do not regret my feelings. I regret, however, some of the language I used at the time.”
Will Lampard return to his position in the dugout?
The 45-year-old recently returned to Stamford Bridge amid their struggles from the previous season, but he was unable to turn their fortunes around.

His record as a manager suffered as a result of his dismissal from Chelsea and subsequent failures at Everton.

It will be interesting to see if he gets another job in the Premier League, as many will believe he has taken too many blows and must now drop a rung in order to climb back up.
