Javi Gracia issues a warning to Graham Potter ahead of the’make or break’ match between Chelsea and Leeds United.

Javi Gracia, the manager of Leeds United, has described his team’s game plan as he attempts to pile further agony on under-pressure Chelsea head coach Graham Potter.

Gracia took over at Elland Road after Jesse Marsch was fired in an attempt to strengthen their Premier League survival chances; they are presently 17th, one point above the relegation zone.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have lost their past three matches in all competitions and are winless in their last six, leaving Potter’s team in 10th place.

It has resulted in calls for Potter’s sacking, which he accepts since results haven’t been good enough, and their next two games against Leeds and Borussia Dortmund have been characterized as potentially’make or break’ for the 47-year-job old’s at Stamford Bridge.

Gracia’s first game in charge of Leeds was a 1-0 win over Southampton last Saturday, but they were defeated 2-0 by Fulham in the FA Cup at Craven Cottage in midweek.

Leeds are looking to make it back-to-back league victories when they visit the city, but Gracia recognizes how difficult the task will be.

“I think it’s crucial to start extremely aggressively, to continue very aggressively, and then to end even more aggressively,” Leeds manager Chris Coleman said before of Thursday’s game,

“To go to Stamford Bridge is always very, very tough but I have that experience.

“Especially with the necessity now that they have to get their points. We have to be very, very focused and prepared for a demanding game.”

With Potter under severe pressure at Chelsea, Gracia was quizzed on his view of the Chelsea head coach.

He was full of praise, but fired a warning that his team will mean business and hope to succumb Chelsea to a fourth straight defeat in west London.

“The only way you change the different opinions about you is with results, it’s the only way,” added Gracia on his managerial counterpart this weekend.

“What I can say is my opinion about Graham Potter and my opinion is fantastic. I wish all the best for all the management, of course the next game we try to win.”
