Kai Havertz has acknowledged that he has been facing difficulties at Chelsea for several months now, as his form has been worrying.

However, in a Premier League match against Leicester at the King Power stadium on Saturday afternoon, Havertz, along with Ben Chilwell and Mateo Kovacic, managed to score goals and secure a 3-1 win for Chelsea.

After breaking his two-month goal drought in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory against Leicester at the King Power stadium on Saturday, Kai Havertz confessed to feeling off his game for “weeks and months.” The 23-year-old forward has been under criticism for only scoring 18 Premier League goals since his £72million move from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020.

Chelsea has struggled in recent weeks under manager Graham Potter, winning just four Premier League games since the World Cup in Qatar, and are currently 11 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with a game in hand. However, their win against Leicester means that they have won three consecutive matches in all competitions.

Kai Havertz expressed his hope that Chelsea has regained their winning form, but he admitted that the past few months have been challenging for him personally. He acknowledged that football is a crucial part of their lives, and losing a game can have a significant impact on their well-being. Havertz shared that even his girlfriend has had a tough time due to his struggles on the pitch.

As per the Evening Standard’s report, Havertz stated, “I think she is happy now again, and so am I. If you have a bad day at work, you don’t feel good. Football is a game where we have a lot of pressure on our shoulders.”

“We want to make the fans happy and if you don’t make them happy then you don’t have a good time. Winning is always the best, we won again so we can enjoy some days.”

Despite Kai Havertz’s modest record at Chelsea, he has still managed to achieve success with the team. He has won the Club World Cup, European Super Cup, and most notably, the Champions League, where he scored the winning goal in the final in 2021.

With the Champions League being Chelsea’s only hope for silverware this season, Havertz expressed confidence in the team’s ability to go all the way in Europe. The team’s recent victory against Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 has strengthened their position in the competition, and Havertz is looking forward to the quarter-final draw, which is scheduled to take place in Switzerland on Friday.

Havertz continued, “To be honest, we look game-by-game. The goal at Chelsea is always to win something. We can get a lot of points. We have to keep up the pressure on the other teams and look game-by-game. The Champions League is also a big tournament for us so we have something to play for.”

With 12 games left in the Premier League, Chelsea faces an uphill battle to rescue their season. Breaking into the top four will be a difficult task, as they still have to face tough opponents like Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle, and league leaders Arsenal.

Their next Premier League match will be against Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. A strong finish to the season in both the Premier League and the Champions League could help restore confidence in Graham Potter’s management, but there is still a long way to go.
