Man City have made contact over a potential summer transfer swoop for a’superb’ winger.
Manchester City are interested in signing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, according to reports.
The Citizens just finished their most recent season by completing the treble by winning the Champions League last weekend.
However, some behind-the-scenes information about one player the club has reportedly had their eye on for some time has emerged.

City and Newcastle United have both expressed interest in Williams in recent months, ahead of the summer transfer market, which has now officially started.
According to the source, Aston Villa have begun talks with Bilbao over a prospective transfer for the winger, who Arsenal is also interested in.
The 20-year-old made his senior debut for Bilbao in April 2021 after scoring nine goals and contributing 12 assists in 26 games for the Spanish club’s youth team.
Since then, the Spaniard has made 85 appearances for his current club, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists.
During his most recent La Liga season, in which he scored six goals and provided four assists in 36 games, the attacker had more progressive carries (174) and crosses (174) than any other player at the club.
