Man Utd’s Four Alternative Options if Bayern Munich Intercept Kim Min-jae Transfer

With Bayern Munich interested in Kim Min-jae, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag may have to explore for alternative center-backs.

Bayern Munich is threatening Manchester United’s pursuit of Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, according to sources. Erik ten Hag’s aim to improve his backline early in the transfer window may be thwarted by a lengthy takeover procedure, but he will still have options if the South Korean eludes him.

Jurrien Wood

United were interested in signing Jurrien Timber at the start of last summer, but he chose to stay at Ajax to ensure his position in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad.

Ten Hag, on the other hand, could be considering a reunion at Old Trafford, and his ability to fill in at right-back will appeal.

Timber’s participation at the FA Cup final drew attention and hinted that this summer could be a case of second chances.

However, combining the 21-year-old with Lisandro Martinez would leave United with one of Europe’s thinnest defenses.

Goncalo Inacio

Goncalo Inacio’s Sporting contract includes a £38.5 million release clause, and a move to United is considered to be appealing.

The 21-year-old left-sided defender would give competition for Martinez while allowing Raphael Varane to remain Ten Hag’s first-choice partner.

Inacio was essential for Sporting this season, appearing in 52 games, and his release clause could be attractive.

But, with Liverpool and Newcastle United also interested in him, United may have to act swiftly.

Axel Disasi

According to French media, United are close to completing a deal for AS Monaco center-back Axel Disasi.

The 25-year-old has three France caps and two years left on his current contract.

Monaco are thought to seek between £34 million and £43 million to part ways in the coming months, while United are said to be pushing to finalize the transfer.

The Red Devils aren’t looking for a center-back this summer, but Disasi would be a good place to start.

Colwill, Levi

Levi Colwill has made a name for himself during two loan spells away from Chelsea in recent seasons, impressing at Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Chelsea turned down a £30 million offer from Brighton to extend his contract earlier this month, citing worries about his playing time at Stamford Bridge.

If Ten Hag can provide him with consistent playing time at United, pulling him away from the Blues would be a huge coup.

With Manchester United after Mason Mount, Mauricio Pochettino is unlikely to sanction two of his greatest prospects moving to M16.
