Manchester City is set to propose a sensational swap deal for Rafael Leao to AC Milan.
Pep Guardiola is willing to let one of his Manchester City stars leave in order to sign AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao this summer.
Guardiola must be surprised to see his own squad failing to keep up with the one managed by his former assistant manager Mikel Arteta.
While Erling Haaland is scoring goals and has already reached the amount required to win the Premier League’s Golden Boot for the past four years, the squad is five points behind Arsenal, who has a game in hand.
At the present, the Norwegian striker has a legitimate chance of being released with about 50 league goals and still not win the title!
Obviously, there is still a long way to go, even if the bookies don’t think so, because the two clubs must face each other twice.

Guardiola’s focus will be on winning a third consecutive title, but he is also looking to upgrade his squad for next season.
He is considering a summer move for AC Milan forward Leao, who has previously been extensively linked with Chelsea, to add to his already ludicrous alternatives.
According to the source, City manager Pep Guardiola is willing to use the Milan star’s Portugal teammate Joao Cancelo as a makeweight in the transaction.
The full back was seen as integral to the way that City played but his form post World Cup has seen him get dropped by Guardiola.
He started against Chelsea and Manchester United, but was taken off at halftime in the former, and City lost the Manchester derby.
Cancelo has been left on the bench in City’s two games since that defeat, with the team winning 4-2 at Tottenham Hotspur and 3-0 at Wolves.
With Kyle Walker off of form, youngster Rico Lewis has been preferred at right back, while Nathan Ake has filled in at left back.

Milan forward Leao is highly regarded, having scored 11 goals as Stefano Pioli’s side won the Serie A title last season.
However, his contract is due to expire at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, and he is yet to sign a new deal at the San Siro, so could walk away for free in 18 months.
Milan want to keep the 23-year-old, which is understandable given his nine goals and nine assists in the current Serie A season, but he could be forced to leave this summer if he doesn’t sign a new contract.
City aren’t the only ones interested in a swap deal for one of the Rossoneri’s great players, with rivals Manchester United also intrigued.
As part of a deal for the French full back, Erik ten Hag might offer Diogo Dalot, who was on loan to the Italians last season, as well as Anthony Martial.
