Mikel Arteta reacts to His best player display in North London Derby
Mikel Arteta stated that he was blown away by Martin Odegaard’s performance in the North London derby on Sunday.
The Gunners’ lead at the top of the Premier League table has been extended thanks to a fantastic performance against their nearest rivals.
Aaron Ramsdale was voted the match’s MVP. Tottenham’s comeback came after Arsenal had taken control of the game and grabbed a 2-0 lead.
Odegaard’s show amazed Arteta.
Hugo Lloris finally broke the tie by mishandling the ball into his own net. Meanwhile, Odegaard extended the lead before the interval with a spectacular long-range shot.

This season, the Norwegian has been one of the greatest performers in the Premier League. And Arteta made no secret of his delight in his performance against Spurs on Sunday.
“Terrific. “Especially in the first half, I thought he was outstanding,” he stated, “He’s really demonstrating a different kind of presence in the way he’s influencing the game, just the feeling, the way he moves what he sends on the pitch is different. To do what he’s done here today, he deserves a lot of praise.”
Last season, Odegaard was rather impressive. In the Premier League, he finished the season with seven goals and four assists. That was a return that surely helped to justify why the Gunners signed him.
But, because of how good he has been this term, those totals are suddenly looking very ordinary.
In 17 games, the 24-year-old has eight goals and five assists. He is now playing his greatest football of his career. And, given his age and how Arsenal is currently progressing as a team, he might still improve.
He has four goals and three assists in his last five Premier League appearances. As a result, Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table has grown.
It is difficult to imagine the Gunners being caught if he maintains this form.
