Mykhailo Mudryk Inspires Ukraine’s Comeback Triumph with Two Stunning Assists, Matching Chelsea’s Impressive Performance
With an outstanding performance for Ukraine, Mykhailo Mudryk demonstrated why Chelsea paid £88.5 million for him.
The winger recovered from a difficult first six months at Stamford Bridge with two lovely assists in a comeback win against North Macedonia.
Ukraine is in the same Euro 2024 qualification group as England, and they looked vulnerable away to North Macedonia.
They were on track for two defeats in a row after falling behind 2-0 at halftime.

However, Ukraine – and Mudryk – came to life in the second half after Illya Zabarnyi of Bournemouth had cut the lead in half.
Picking up the ball on the halfway line, Mudryk displayed the electrifying pace that has often been lacking at Chelsea, breaking past three players before angling a ball into the area.
Yukhym Konoplya put the pullback away to tie the game, but Mudryk wasn’t done yet.
With 83 minutes on the clock, the 22-year-old demonstrated that he is more than a speed merchant.
He noticed a dashing run from Viktor Tsyhankov while collecting the ball on the far side of the pitch.
The Girona midfielder superbly nodded home the matchwinner after curling a lovely pass over the defense.
Mudryk matched his entire output since joining Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk with two assists in a single game.
Mudryk, who has yet to score for the Blues in 17 games, was one of many Chelsea players who suffered during a disastrous season.
And he’ll be trying to go back to his best under Mauricio Pochettino next season.
