Pep already has Cancelo heir in rarely-seen MCFC gem who“doesn’t feel the pressure”

Following the trip of Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal this summer, a ton was made about who Manchester City would get as the Ukrainian’s replacement.

Notwithstanding being a trademark right-back, Joao Cancelo has been Pep Guardiola’s most ideal choice at left-back for a surprisingly long time, with Zinchenko filling in there sometimes last term.

Guardiola required a back-up to the Portugal international on the left-hand side and the Citizens were associated with an enormous gathering of names, for instance, Borna Sosa, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Raphael Guerreiro after they missed Marc Cucurella to Chelsea.

Over the long haul, Guardiola got Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht, but reports have suggested that he could leave using a credit card once the manager had the chance to review the 21-year-old.

Regardless, should Gomez leave acquired and Cancelo get hurt, Guardiola would anyway have one more trick available to him as Josh Wilson-Esbrand.

The 19-year-old establishment graduate was an ordinary in pre-season for City and has been name-checked by Guardiola different times while looking at defensive decisions.

After an extraordinary execution in the 1-0 win against Bayern Munich in pre-season, the 51-year-old was overflowing with recognition for the youngster defender, saying: “He’s powerful to win the duels and with the ball is so savvy, he has a respectable 1 v 1 defender and doesn’t feel the strain with the ball.

“Today was an outline of how our back four were pressed at this point didn’t lose a huge piece of the ball. He did an extraordinary game. If we have some command over his injuries, we will have a full back for quite a while.”

The way that Wilson-Esbrand is pleasant safely guarded and ‘sharp’ with the ball rapidly suggests that he could play out a similar occupation to the attack objected to Cancelo later on.

The England under-20 international administered just 14 appearances in Premier League 2 last season because of the recently referenced injury issues yet has amazed, starting the seat in all of City’s games up until this point this season.

His senior appearance came in the 6-1 win against Wycombe Wanderers in the Carabao Cup last term, so he will expect more appearances in cup challenges in the continuous exertion.

While we are likely not going to see Wilson-Esbrand usurp Cancelo at left-back anytime soon, the Englishman has an unbelievable future and is extraordinarily assessed at the Etihad Stadium, so fans may be needing to see fundamentally a greater amount of him this season.

Considering that Kyle Walker will turn 33 during the mission, we could see Cancelo return to right once the ex-Spurs defender leaves City, which could open the entrance for Wilson-Esbrand to take over from the past Juventus ace on the left-hand side of watchman.
