Romano has abandoned his transfer request as Liverpool received positive news regarding the ideal midfield transfer, indicating that an agreement has been reached.

According to Fabrizio Romano, who is a reputable source, Mason Mount, a player that Liverpool is reportedly interested in, is highly likely to depart from Chelsea during the summer.

Mount, who currently has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2024, has been the subject of speculation lately, with doubts about his future at the club. Recently, it was reported that Todd Boehly, one of the Blues’ co-owners, has stepped down from contract discussions with the 24-year-old midfielder, delegating the job to co-sporting director Paul Winstanley, which effectively resets the negotiations. Romano has now made a significant claim, revealing that Mount has changed his representatives.

Fabrizio Romano acknowledged the Daily Mail’s Matt Hughes for his report on Mason Mount’s situation and tweeted that Mount has appointed Neil Fewings as his new agent, which was agreed upon several weeks ago. Romano further stated that it is highly probable that Mount will depart from Chelsea in July.

Fewings, who is associated with the ROOF agency, has a long-standing relationship with Wasserman, the agency that Mount has reportedly joined, as per Jacque Talbot’s tweet. Under Fewings’ guidance, Mount will likely participate in talks regarding his future.

The news about Mason Mount’s change in representation and the possibility of leaving Chelsea in the summer is a significant development, especially for Liverpool, who have been linked with the player. Often, a change in an agent can be an indicator of an upcoming transfer. Romano’s claim that Mount is “very likely” to leave Chelsea further strengthens Liverpool’s chances of acquiring him.

The injury to Stefan Bajcetic, who had been playing more than expected, has highlighted the need for new talent in Liverpool’s midfield. Mount’s experience in the Premier League, having played 128 matches, and being a Champions League winner, along with his 36 England caps, makes him an attractive prospect for Liverpool.

Given the current circumstances, it would be a great opportunity for Liverpool to make a move for Mount, and the factors appear to be aligning in their favour.
