Sheikh Mansour discusses Manchester City’s plans for 2023/24 with Pep Guardiola.
After winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, Pep Guardiola met with Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour.
Sheikh Mansour is determined to enhance Manchester City following their treble-winning season.
Sheikh Mansour, City’s owner, was in attendance for the Champions League final win against Inter Milan over the weekend, only his second-ever City game, to watch his club become European champions for the first time. By winning the league, FA Cup, and European Cup all in the same season, City has accomplished something only Manchester United has done in England before.
Pep Guardiola was in Manchester on Monday to celebrate the club’s treble parade through a rain-soaked city center, and has now travelled to Abu Dhabi for an appointment with Sheikh Mansour – along with the three trophies.
Sheikh Mansour met with chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, CEO Ferran Soriano, and Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain to discuss City’s triumphs in 2022/23, preparations for next season, and how to’strengthen’ City’s worldwide position.

Guardiola is quoted as saying that City’s wins are a “response to Sheikh Mansour’s favor,” and that he will continue to demand that City win cups and championships.
