Six huge Premier League deals are still on the table in the final six days of the transfer window.

There will be a lot of movement in the final few days of the January transfer window.

The Premier League has once again led the way in terms of transfer expenditure, with only four clubs yet to complete a signing this month. Chelsea spent the most money in January, over £150 million, bringing in Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix, and Noni Madueke, while teams are unlikely to slow down after a total spend of over £500 million, with several more deals still to be completed.

Anthony Gordon to Newcastle

Eddie Howe and Newcastle reportedly want to bring in another forward after they allowed Chris Wood to leave on loan to Nottingham Forest, while they could take advantage of Everton’s precarious financial situation and move for Anthony Gordon. The England under-21 star has emerged as one of the Magpies’ top targets though they will be wary of a Chelsea hijack.

It would not be the first time Todd Boehly and his team have tried for one of their rivals’ objectives in January, and they did had a bid of more than £50 million rejected down for the winger in the summer.

Transfer Updates

Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea are seeking to sign another midfielder before the transfer season ends, and are due to resume talks with Benfica over their Argentine World Cup star. The Blues were willing to pay more than Enzo Fernandez’s £103 million release clause, but Benfica notified Graham Potter’s side that he could only depart if the buyout clause was activated.

Chelsea was willing to spend more than £103 million but pay Benfica in three installments; however, when the Portuguese team rejected, negotiations were suspended. However,  Chelsea are set to resume talks and hope to thrash out a deal that will see the 22-year-old move to Stamford Bridge.

Pedro Porro is heading to Tottenham.

Tottenham’s signing of Sporting Lisbon winger Pedro Porro draws parallels with Chelsea’s pursuit of Fernandez, as the Blues are similarly attempting to deal down the Spaniard’s £40 million release clause after holding many discussions over the 23-year-potential old’s transfer.

Antonio Conte is looking to bolster his team in order to finish in the top four once more, but whether Spurs can negotiate a deal below Porro’s release clause or decide to trigger his buyout may come down to the final few days of the transfer window.

Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo to Arsenal Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has said that Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is “one to watch” in the closing few days of the transfer market, as Arsenal are kept updated about his status while both Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in the Ecuadorian.

Caicedo, on the other hand, would cost a major portion of any team’s transfer budget and acknowledged on Tuesday that he is only interested in joining the Seagulls. “I’m concentrating on Brighton,” Caicedo says. “I’m here, and I play every day. Things from outside don’t bother me, nor do they take away my focus because I’m just focused on here. I’m good with [speculation]. You hear rumors here and there, but I try to keep my attention on the club.”

Manchester United has signed Harry Kane.

Tottenham star Harry Kane has been linked with a surprise move to Manchester United, owing to the fact that he has only 18 months left on his contract in north London and may be interested in leaving the club in pursuit of silverware. However, any move would likely take place in the summer rather than January and Kane has admitted that talks over a new deal will commence soon.

“I’m sure they’ll be conversations over the coming months but, to be honest, I’m just focused on this season and doing my best for the team,” he said after scoring the winner in Spurs’ 1-0 win over Fulham on Monday. “I know there’s going to be rumours, a lot of talk and speculation about my future but I’m just focused on what I can do.”

Arsenal appear to have shifted their focus to midfield reinforcements after signing Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior this month. Caicedo appears to be on Arsenal’s radar, although a deal for Juventus’ Weston McKennie appears to be more likely.

The American is apparently available for between £17.5m and £22m plus add-ons, with the Italian club willing to let the 24-year-old leave amid financial troubles that have resulted in the team being penalised 15 points in Serie A for the use of fraudulent capital gains.
