‘Stop lying to the world’:Manager’s Concise Instagram Message to Arsenal Player Goes Viral
Folarin Balogun, an Arsenal loanee, is on fire in Ligue 1, and he gets along well with his manager at Stade Reims, Will Still.
The 21-year-old joined the French club on a season-long loan last summer. Many Arsenal fans expected him to have a good season, but no one expected him to become one of the best players in the league.
Balogun’s success at Reims is due to his exceptional talent, but Still deserves credit for assisting him in his development.
Will Still advises Arsenal midfielder Folarin Balogun to “stop lying to the world.”
Will Still and Folarin Balogun have an amazing friendship.
Not long ago, Arsenal released a video about Balogun’s life in France, and a clip from the training ground where the youngster was practicing penalties would have made you laugh.
“He can’t do it on a Sunday afternoon in Nice, but can he do it in Reims on a Saturday afternoon?” he still tries to get under Balogun’s skin.
Balogun buried his shot into the net and walked away without looking at his coach. That’s the kind of banter they have, and it appears they’ve taken it to social media as well.
The Arsenal loanee captioned a photo of himself with a few of his teammates, “Back to work n back amongst the wins!”
“You literally never win.. stop lying to the world,” Still responded.
He still deserves a lot of credit for assisting Balogun in becoming one of the most feared strikers in Ligue 1.
The Arsenal loanee has 17 league goals this season, more than Lionel Messi and Neymar and just two behind the other PSG superstar, Kylian Mbappe.
Balogun is set to return to Arsenal at the end of the season, and his future is uncertain. Arsenal already has plenty of options up top, making things difficult for the youngster.
It will be fascinating to see what happens to Balogun this summer. If Arsenal put him up for sale, we’re sure several clubs would be interested in signing him.
