The Manchester United star’s accent in an interview has irritated Spaniards.

Alejandro Garnacho is likely to make his Argentina debut soon. They’re already sniping in Spain.

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho is the club’s future superstar, poised to make a significant impact on the international stage.

Argentina has invited him into their national team, and he will make his long-awaited debut in one of two forthcoming friendlies against Australia and Indonesia.

Garnacho formerly represented Spain at the under-18 level before transferring to Argentina a year ago.

The Spanish press takes aim at Alejandro Garnacho.

Due to his age, Alejandro Garnacho can still change his mind until he has made three international appearances.

Garnacho assured TyC Sports that this will not be the case. “I feel Argentine,” he added. “They bet on me before, and I was clear about it.” I don’t need three games to make a decision.”

It wasn’t simply the words in Garnacho’s interview that irritated Spaniards, but also how he expressed them.

Marca chastised him for abruptly adopting an Argentine dialect.

According to the publication, “Garnacho from Madrid gets the Argentine accent at breakneck speed.”

Argentine outlet TN explained the differences, and noted that Garnacho “tried to soften his Spanish accent and gave it a touch of Argentine , marking some idioms such as highlighting the “y” every time he said “yo” and saying “here” instead of “here”.

It’s also worth noting that Garnacho is only 18 and is still discovering himself. If it means embracing his Argentine heritage and attempting to blend in, then be it.

He could just as easily be chastised in Argentina for being ‘too Spanish’ and failing to blend in. So he did nothing wrong here.

If he annoys a few people in Spain, so be it. He will never be able to win them over because he has promised his international career to Argentina, the country where his mother was born.

From the standpoint of Manchester United, he can talk with any accent he wants. Whatever makes him feel at ease and boosts his confidence so that he may be the best golfer he can be.
