Thomas Partey Reveals Shocking Insight into Arsenal’s Injury issues Following Bournemouth Breakthrough
Since joining Arsenal, Thomas Partey has dealt with a slew of injuries that have dogged his career. Partey has missed 39 Arsenal games, more than a complete Premier League season, while missing only seven games for Atletico Madrid in more than five years with the senior squad.
His most recent absence was against Manchester City, which Arsenal’s championship opponents lost 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium. There has been some anger over why, after so few troubles in Spain, Partey now has these regular issues.
When asked about the annoyance of missing so many games, Partey confessed that there was one major reason for the missed games.
“Well, I think it’s adaption. If you go from a different league, normal things happen,” the midfielder said.
“I am working on everything, I am trying my best. I am trying to help the team any time I can. When I am ready and fit, I will be ready to help the team.”
Partey is frequently regarded as the team’s irreplaceable figure. The command he brought to the game on Saturday was palpable, and it was a great example of how his arrival since 2020 has provided Arsenal with players who can be the catalysts to galvanize performances.
Nonetheless, the emergence of Jorginho since the January transfer window has undoubtedly lightened the weight and responsibilities. The Italian has started the last four games and impressed with his control, growth, and game-winning goal against Aston Villa.
Despite Jorginho’s outstanding performance, Partey’s impact in the win over Bournemouth felt even greater. He missed the conclusion of last season, and the Gunners, predictably, failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Even with Jorginho present, Partey’s availability for the balance of the season is certain to be critical if a league title is to be won. We’ll cross our fingers that he doesn’t sustain any further injuries.
