“One of the best strikers that I had in my career as a coach”
Alasdair Gold asked Conte where Kane ranks in the list of strikers this game has seen.
“For sure, he is one of the best strikers that I had in my career as a coach,” replied the Italian.
“The characteristic that hit me about Harry, is that he has great talent, he is a number nine but at the same time can become a number 10 during the game.
“But what I love about him is the desire, the will to work and to be a good example for his team-mates.
“I appreciate that a lot, I love it, to see a player, a world class striker to be a good example, because if you have this type of example it is more simple with you to work with the rest of the players.”
With Conte in charge and a busy summer on the transfer front, Tottenham are looking strong right now.
Kane is yet to lift a trophy at Spurs – could this be the season when this changes?
It’s a bit early, but there are some promising signs.
