Tottenham to announce signing of £31m-rated star after player completes medical in London
Arnaut Danjuma has completed his medical ahead of his move to Tottenham.
Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma has finished his physical and his loan move to Tottenham Hotspur might be revealed on Wednesday.
Danjuma was set to join Everton earlier this week and had already completed some media responsibilities for the Toffees after passing his medical last weekend.
Tottenham, though, made a last-ditch attempt to hijack Everton’s agreement, and the attacker is said to have backed out of his scheduled move to Goodison Park when Frank Lampard was fired on Monday.
Lampard was fired following Everton’s 2-0 loss to West Ham over the weekend, which sent the Merseysiders to second-from-bottom in the table with just 15 points from 20 games.

When Tottenham indicated interest in Danjuma, he got cold feet and turned his head. The two teams have agreed to a loan deal with no obligation to make the transaction permanent in the summer.
The 25-year-old promptly agreed to terms with Spurs and travelled into London on Tuesday evening to undertake his medical. According to talkSPORT, the medical has now been finished, and Tottenham may make the announcement today.
Danjuma has been a crucial player for Villarreal since joining the club in 2021 from Bournemouth. Last season, he made 34 appearances for the Yellow Submarine, scoring 16 goals and giving four assists as they advanced to the Champions League semi-finals by defeating favorites Bayern Munich, only to lose 3-2 to Liverpool.
He has continued his outstanding form this season, scoring six goals in 16 games across all competitions as they sit fifth in La Liga, with the same points as fourth-placed Atletico Madrid.

Transfermarkt values Danjuma at about £31 million, and he will provide Antonio Conte with another option to fight with Son Heung-min and Richarlison. Both players are struggling to reach the back of the net, with Harry Kane the only significant goal threat for the club.
Conte wants to bolster his squad to help Tottenham’s campaign to qualify for the Champions League, since the club sits three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United despite having played an extra game.
