Arsenal is set to travel to the Midlands for a Saturday match against Aston Villa, a team that has remarkably won its last 14 Premier League home games, displaying a strong home record under former Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

Arsenal defender William Saliba acknowledges Aston Villa’s impressive performance and sees them as genuine contenders for the title.

Emery’s management has led Villa to 14 consecutive home wins, creating a formidable fortress at Villa Park, and Arsenal faces a challenging task in the upcoming match.

Villa’s recent 1-0 victory against Manchester City further solidifies their status as title contenders, marked by their home-winning streak dating back to February, when Arsenal last visited and won 4-2.

Following Villa’s triumph over City, defender Diego Carlos confidently stated, ‘We fear no one.’ In response, Saliba expresses confidence in Arsenal’s ability to challenge Villa’s home dominance.

Despite the challenge, Saliba praises Villa as a strong team with a skilled coach. He acknowledges that Villa’s current standing in the league is not surprising, considering their impressive finish in the previous season.

Saliba anticipates one of Arsenal’s toughest games but highlights the team’s positive position in both the Champions League and the Premier League.

Although Villa welcomes Saliba’s compliments, Carlos emphasizes the team’s confidence and fearlessness, emphasizing the coach’s desire for every player to be confident with the ball and their position on the field.

“They’re not a surprise to me,” Saliba declared. “They’re a good team, they have a good coach as well and I’m not surprised they are in such a good position because they finished so well last season. I’m not surprised by them at all. They are so good.

“I think it will be one of our hardest games, it will be tough, we know it won’t be easy to play there. But we’re in a good position as a team because we’re first in the Champions League, first in the Premier League as well but we know we have a lot of games to come.”
