Evra used the occasion to mock Cityzens and Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher. He mocked the former rock band and sang a reworked version of their song ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ on social media. “Don’t look back in wrath,” the former Manchester United left-back can be heard singing. You’re never going to be able to silence me.
“Don’t look back in anger… You ain’t ever gonna shut my mouth… Soo City can wait… They know it’s too late, we’re back on fire… Their soul slide away… But don’t look back in anger… I heard you say.” Manchester United legend Patrice Evra also wrote to Manchester City fans Noel and Liam.
The Frenchman delivered a personal note to the Gallagher brothers after finishing the song, which he dubbed the Evrasis remix. He claimed that the spoof was his late Christmas gift to the members of Oasis. He stated: “Tell your brother Noel if he doesn’t know what Noel means in French. Merry Christmas is translated as Joyeux Noel. Sorry, this was my late Christmas gift to you. I’m referring to Evrasis. This is my favorite day.”
This is not the first time Evra has aimed at the Gallagher brothers, particularly Liam, who is renowned for being outspoken on social media. He famously mocked the Paradise stars when Manchester City won the Premier League In the 2021 UEFA Champions League final, they were defeated by Chelsea.
