Manchester United legend Evra trolls Manchester City and Oasis after derby win
Following Manchester United’s 2-1 derby victory, Manchester United icon Patrice Evra resorted to social media to attack Manchester City and defunct rock band Oasis.
On Saturday, January 14, Manchester United hosted Manchester City in the Premier League at Old Trafford. They were seeking to extract revenge on their neighbors after losing 6-3 at Etihad Stadium earlier this season.
Following a scoreless first half, the Cityzens seized the lead at the hour mark through Jack Grealish. However, goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford in the space of four minutes secured the three points for the hosts.

Many Manchester United fans believe that the club is on the mend under Erik ten Hag. Evra, who played for Manchester United from 2006 to 2014, was among those who couldn’t keep their emotions under check.
Evra used the occasion to mock Cityzens and Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher. He mocked the former rock band and sang a reworked version of their song ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ on social media. “Don’t look back in wrath,” the former Manchester United left-back can be heard singing. He claimed that the spoof was his late Christmas gift to the members of Oasis. He stated: “Tell your brother Noel if he doesn’t know what Noel means in French. This is not the first time Evra has aimed at the Gallagher brothers, particularly Liam, who is renowned for being outspoken on social media. He famously mocked the Paradise stars when Manchester City won the Premier League In the 2021 UEFA Champions League final, they were defeated by Chelsea.
